Along with Colleen, Waterford Crystal Lismore must rank as the most enduring design in the history of the company. Its appeal transcends concepts of the traditional and the contemporary. Lismore was first designed by Miroslav Havel in 1952. It was inspired by the architecture of Lismore Castle. The diamond shaped coss-cutting echos the leaded windows of the catle and the upright tear-shaped cuts recall the castle’s stately turrets. In recent years, Waterford have brought the Lismore design even more up to date with Lismore Essence. This twent first century interpretation of the original Lismore design beautifully compliments its older sister and brings to perfect completion this most beautiful crystal design.
